X-RAYS

Most adult new patients may be required to undertake a set of chiropractic spine x-rays if their chiropractor deems it necessary.

​

X-rays are taken to identify if there are any:

​

• Derangements in the alignment and structure of the spine

• Evidence of long term wear and tear (spinal degeneration/arthritis) of the spine

• Fractures or other signs of trauma, and

• Diseases that may need immediate medical treatment.

Patients will receive X-rays that are targeted to specific areas of spine in order to investigate those regions further. X-rays also help the chiropractor determine which treatment is most suitable to best care for you.

X-rays are bulk-billed by Medicare, as long as you have a valid Medicare card.
